
Sara Moorehead

Sara’s career in marketing and communications includes deep experience in change management, culture, communications strategy, and M&I.
After nearly two decades in the Pacific Northwest, she spent five years in London serving Barclays Bank in roles that included Director of Corporate Affairs for the Global Retail & Commercial Banking division and for the UK Retail & Commercial Banking division. Her management career culminated as BECU’s SVP, Cooperative Affairs.
She is now semi-retired and applying her experience to her work as a culture and communications consultant. In addition, Sara is an end-of-life doula, where she supports people in preparing for a peaceful death.
With the foundational understanding that a strong corporate culture leads to better business results and customer experiences, Sara has been a champion for meaningful, well-defined tenets for culture-centric organizations. As such, she has focused much of her consulting on helping organizations articulate an specific mission or purpose, a vision for the impact the organization strives to make, and the supporting values that guide decisions and behaviors. Her culture work has spanned major financial institutions through to cooperatives and to family investment offices, as well as the communications for introducing and embedding the Vision, Mission and Values into the organizations DNA.
Sara has been a writer and speaker on varying topics including intentional leadership, effective cultures, and engaging communications. Among her other interests are hiking, travel, literature, and art.
Sara lives in Seattle and in the hills of Central Washington with her husband, Jeffrey, and their border collie, Gus.
